A Quick Review: I had always heard great things about One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, of course, but had never gotten round to seeing it. Until now. Jack Nicholson is well and truly the star of the film. His portrayal of McMurphy is both absurd and genius at the same time. He pulls you in with his performance, along with the excellent cinematography and absorbing plot.
The film is completely timeless. I was surprised to find that the film was made as late as 1975. It really does transcend all time periods as it is the definitive character piece that was shocking, sad and clever. A must-see.
Score: 8.5/10
