Fall Out Boy Return!

Confession time: I was a huge Fall Out Boy fan throughout my teens and I still cite Infinity on High as one of my favourite albums. Over the past couple of weeks I've been getting nostalgic and playing it constantly and so it was with much shock and excitement that I heard today the announcement that Fall Out Boy were releasing a new album (Save Rock And Roll, to be released on the 6th of May) and are heading on tour! Quite a coincidence or what! 
The tour dates are mainly in the US so far, however they are also set to play Reading and Leeds over here so I might have to investigate that! 
I can't wait to hear all their new stuff but so far I've been quite impressed with the new single, old-school-long-title-style "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)". Have a listen below... 

Welcome 2013!

Hello again! I've been off since the end of last year due to various reasons including Christmas, illness, UCAS application, working a lot etc. But I'm now back and full of ideas and enthusiasm for the year to come! I'm also now in my third year of Enthralled which is amazing! I've got some 2012 round-ups coming up and even more things to look forward to in 2013 including so many incredible films which I'm very excited about. So over the next couple of weeks expect something new and hopefully improved!
So, for today I'm going to leave you with genrocks annual 'Filmography' video which I always look forward to where she rounds up the last year of film. They are always immaculately edited and make me inspired and excited for the year to come...

My Recent TV Obsessions...

I am one of those people that bounce from one fantastic boxset to the next and am always gripped with obsession for one show or another. 
Recently there have been so many great shows (both being broadcast now and from days gone by) that my desk is piled high with them and my internet constantly streaming from iPlayer, 4OD and LoveFilm. 
So where to begin? Below is a list, in no particular order, of fantastic shows that I could not live without at the moment...

Community

Definitely one of the funniest shows on the box right now I've sailed through season 1 in a matter of days - it's just so addictive! Season 2 has been ordered and is on it's way!

Films (& TV) To Watch... #3

I've just got back from a screening of Looper and was blown away! Look out for a review of that tomorrow! But for now I just want to recap a few of the films and tv heading our way that I'm super excited about!

First off a film which doesn't reach my local cinema until another couple of weeks, so I have a while to wait! The Perks of Being a Wallflower looks incredible and with Ezra Miller (from We Need To Talk About Kevin), Emma Stone (from Harry Potter) and Logan Lerman (from, well, I'm not sure but he looks good!) it has potential to be one of my favourite releases this year! 

Ch ch ch changes

Today I'm going to talk about a few changes I'm going to make here on Enthralled, which I have been thinking about for quite a while. 
Since the end of 2010 I have been posting (with only a few exceptions!) every day but now I have begun working and am attempting to build my skills and experiences in preparation for university I have decided that I'm only going to be able to post every week day from now on. I'm hoping this will mean a move to quality posts over quantity. 
I'm also going to focus more on film and television rather than music, unless there is a particular song or artist I'd like to discuss. This is because this is what I am most passionate about and so would like to develop my thoughts and understandings on that rather than music which I see more of as (albeit one of my favourite) hobbies. 
I hope you will continue to enjoy my posts, as coming up over the next couple of weeks I shall be reviewing Moon, W.E., 21 Jump Street and Anna Karenina (which I saw today!)!

Films To Watch #2

It's Films To Watch - The Sequel! There are so many good films coming up these days I don't know how I'm going to see them all. Here are a selection of my favourites...

First off the one I am the most excited about is Looper which is released on the 28th September. It is being tipped as not only the best Sci-Fi of the year but the best film of the year and so with many a 5 star review I will definitely be watching!

Blog 'Vacation'...

This is just a quick post to let you know that I'm going to be having a little blogging holiday for the next few days. 
It's the first time I won't be posting every day for almost 2 years now so it feels very odd, but I think it's needed! 
For a start I myself shall be away visiting family and secondly I think the break will allow me to refocus my thoughts and ideas to come back to Enthralled fresh. 
I shall see you next week with my August Top 20!
But for now I shall leave you with a song I've been loving today...

Films To Watch

As we head out of Summer and into the 'For Your Consideration' portion of the year (my favourite time!) there are a few films that I am excited to see! Asides from the big ones such as Anna Karenina there are some smaller films that have shown at Sundance that are very much worth a look at...

Firstly we have Hello I Must Be Going. Starring Christopher Abbott fresh from the fantastic Girls. along with Melanie Lynskey (Up In The Air) stars and it looks like this could be her best performance yet. Have a look at the trailer...

Doctor Who Series 7: Asylum of the Daleks

With Doctor Who set to return for a much anticipated series 7 very soon a new teaser for the first episode 'Asylum of the Daleks' has been released. 

BBC Original British Drama Autumn 2012

I've been pretty excited about some new BBC dramas recently - especially as Autumn always brings us the best ones and, as it already feels like Autumn now the sun seems to have gone away already, it couldn't come any sooner. Asides from the big ones such as Doctor Who and Merlin this recently released trailer gives us some sneaky previews of what's to come. And it looks pretty darn good. And hopefully worth the wait...

I'm at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend!

This is a note to let you know that I'm in London right now attending Radio 1's Hackney Weekend!

Go check out the event on the Radio 1 page! Also coverage will be on Radio 1 all day and on BBC 3 from 7pm this weekend. I'm super excited and particularly looking forward to seeing Rihanna, Chase & Status, Lana Del Rey, Plan B and Tinie Tempah among others!

New: BBC Drama - True Love

Starting from Sunday night at 10.25pm on BBC 1 a series of five episodes, each focusing on a different side of love will start. They will be broadcast pretty much every day except for when the football interrupts of course! But from the trailer below and the new Radio Times article I read yesterday it looks to be a very interesting, beautiful and heart-breaking series. 

True Love

Even more exciting is the inclusion of the some of the best of British acting talent today (and some of my favourite actors) such as David Tennant, Billie Piper, Ashley Walters, Kaya Scodelario, Joanne Froggatt, Lacey Turner and Jamie Winstone. I also love the fact that each story centres around a different person and their relationships and that the series is supposedly improvised - probably making for a more realistic and touching drama. 
I can't wait to review the series as a whole once I've seen all the episodes some time in the next week or so (in between exams and trips to london of course!).

New! The Great Gatsby Trailer Released!

Wow! I've been looking forward to this film for a long time but seeing this trailer... boy am I excited!! That has to be the most exhilarating film trailer I've seen in a long time and I have to say even better than I was expecting. But with the combination of my favourite film director, Baz Lurhmann, favourite actor and actress, Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan - where could it go wrong?! 

The Hunger Games: Trailer

I finished reading 'The Hunger Games' last night and... it completely blew me away. I don't think I've ever read a more involving, thrilling and exciting book and so it goes without saying that I'm beyond excited for the film adaptation coming out on the 23rd of March.

Being Human S4: New Trailer Released!

The new trailer for the fourth series of Being Human as literally just been released!!

From the looks of it its back with a bang and George and Nina's baby looks to be in trouble! This trailers made me even more excited now and from the 'coming soon' at the end of trailer we should be seeing it any week now!

Being Human S4: Promos and Prequels!

The promo pictures for series 4 of Being Human were finally released this week and it looks like the show is going to be re-hauled after the death of Mitchell at the end of last series. 

As you can see it looks like George will be taking a back seat (almost literally!) and Annie taking centre stage. 
Nina will apparently not be returning and so semi-regular last series Tom McNair will become a regular werewolf. Also with Mitchell gone, a new vampire will take his place named Hal. You can see the prequel to his story below...

Sherlock: Series 2 Trailers and Clips!

Today is my one year blog anniversary! And so I thought it would be appropriate to celebrate with a few quality trailers to get excited about the return of Sherlock tomorrow night! I absolutely can't wait and these have certainly whetted my appetite!

New Doctor Who Christmas Special Trailer!

It's busy times for all as Christmas fast approaches. I for one am very excited for this year's Doctor Who Christmas special - The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe -which airs on BBC One at 7pm - don't miss it! 

There seems to be a Narnia theme to the proceedings but i'm sure there are some aliens in there somewhere! Check out the new trailer below...
