August: Top 20 (Part 2)

Welcome along to Part 2 of August 2012's Top 20 where I reveal my number one song from the past month. Let's dive straight in at number 10...
10. The Vaccines - Teenage Icon
The Vaccines have such a great energy it's hard not to get swept up by their infectious tunes. This is another brilliant one from them.

9. Drake - Crew Love
I hated this when I first heard it. But then there's a fine line between love and hate! It grew on me and now I really like it! Funny when that happens...

8. Maxsta - I Wanna Rock
From the word go this song got stuck in my head. I love it's intensity and how it reminded by of Traktor by Wretch 32. It's just one of those aggressive songs that you need sometimes to fuel your day!

7. Disclosure (feat. Ria Ritchie) - Control
I love the layers of sound in this. It's truly beautiful.

6. Drumsound & Bassline Smith - Through The Night
Oh my days this song was stuck in my head almost all month! It's just perfect for turning all the way up in the car and definitely got me out of bed on more than one occasion!

5. Sam And The Womp - Bom Bom
I've been into this song for a couple months now and so it was lovely to see it reach number one recently! It's a strange one but you just can't help yourself...

4. Rustie (feat. Aluna George) - After Light
I was driving home one afternoon and as soon as this song came on I was captivated. Now this is a rare thing and so I listened hard to find out what it was but they never said! Cue a ton of researching before I found this gem. Definitely worth it!

3. Redlight - Lost In Your Love
It feels like this song has been around forever! And yet this 90s sounding beast of a tune has stuck around and all the better for it!

2. Wiley - Heatwave
Another song which has dominated the Summer is the aptly named Heatwave. When I first heard this it was in the middle of a rainy afternoon and so I felt it rather ironic and yet as the month has progressed this song has given me the 'Summer' feeling the weather wasn't particularly giving!

1. Porter Robinson - Language
This song is just gorgeous. It has swept me away somewhat and has that rare talent of making me feel like I'm listening to something new every time. In each listen I find something different in it and I adore that.
