Tagline: His news is bigger than your news.

IMDb Plot Summary: Ron Burgundy is San Diego's top rated newsman in the male dominated broadcasting of the 1970's, but that's all about to change when a new female employee with ambition to burn arrives in his office.

A Quick Review: Anchorman was almost the opposite of what I thought it would be.
I expected crude and sexist humour, non-funny jokes, boring non-plots and men standing around awkwardly.
I knew the reputation of the film was of being “THE FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER!!”, so I wasn’t expecting much.

However it surprised me...

Somehow the characters had warmth and there were some very funny moments. It was almost so-bad-it’s-good and you could only laugh at the ridiculousness of it.
The acting from Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate (basically the only woman in the film) was brilliant and their chemistry worked.
Overall a pretty sound film.
Score: 7/10
