Films (& TV) To Watch... #3

I've just got back from a screening of Looper and was blown away! Look out for a review of that tomorrow! But for now I just want to recap a few of the films and tv heading our way that I'm super excited about!
First off a film which doesn't reach my local cinema until another couple of weeks, so I have a while to wait! The Perks of Being a Wallflower looks incredible and with Ezra Miller (from We Need To Talk About Kevin), Emma Stone (from Harry Potter) and Logan Lerman (from, well, I'm not sure but he looks good!) it has potential to be one of my favourite releases this year!

Next from the BBC, new drama called Dancing On The Edge which has such an all-star cast that I don't know where to begin. Matthew Goode, Jenna-Louise Coleman, Anthony Head and Tom Hughes are to name but a few. Set in London in the 1930s it looks at a black jazz band which becomes caught up in the aristocratic world as they seek fame and fortune.
The Hour is also back soon which I'm rather giddy about. having fallen for Ben Whishaw even more since last year and with other stellar actors such as Romola Garai and Dominic West the clips in this trailer below (also featuring Dancing On The Edge!) look very enticing indeed...

And lastly looking ahead there are a couple of films out early next year (yes, we're looking at 2013 already!) that look amazing.
Firstly, Movie 43 which is released in February and has to be one of the most bizarrely hilarious trailers I've ever seen. Starring Emma Stone, Kate Winslet, GErald Butler (as a dwarf!), Elizabeth Banks, Hugh Jackmen, Richard Gere, Naomi Watts, Anna Faris, Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Chloe Moretz, Uma Thurman, Justin Long, Kate Bosworth, Stephen Merchant... the list goes on! If there's not one person you're not excited about then... well you're not a fan of movies! Take a look for yourself...

And lastly Cloud Atlas! Also set to be released in February a trailer for this was shown at the screening of Looper and it has got be thinking ever since. The trailer is just brilliant - you think you're watching one film and then it goes to places you completely weren't expecting! According to IMDb the film is "An exploration of how actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution."
I think it's one of those films you've just got to see for yourself and I cannot wait!
