One For The Money

UK Release: 24th February 2012
Watched on DVD: Saturday 9th February 2013
Rating: 12A
Genre: Action, Comedy, Crime
Runtime: 1hr 31mins
IMDb Plot Synopsis: Unemployed and newly-divorced Stephanie Plum lands a job at her cousin's bail-bond business, where her first assignment puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop from her romantic past.

A Quick Review: I watched this purely for Katherine Heigl after loving her in Grey’s Anatomy and her various rom-coms she’s been in over the past few years. I was interested to see her play a bad-ass leading lady for once and be the leading lady!
However... this film is pretty dire. Her accent is awful the plot so predictive and the poor-mans version of Bounty Hunter (starring Jennifer Anniston and Gerald Butler, not great but far greater than this!)
Heigl is absolutely the best thing about this but even that wasn’t quite good enough as it lacked any sort of thrills or excitement. It’s sad as I would have liked to see her in something good outside of her rom-com roles but perhaps she should just stick to what she’s good at, or find a better script!

Score: 4/10
