My Review: Yeah, this film isn’t good. It’s not bad, but it’s not that good either. But then again it was better than I had expected! After looking at reviews (a 4.1 rating on IMDb for instance) and not being blown away by the first one I wasn’t expecting much but was curious to see if the film would be that bad as well as being interested to see how Amy Adams fares in all this. And she was by far the best thing in the film so that is something - she was different to anything I’ve seen her in previously and played the spoilt, ambitious blonde girl very well.
Sebastian, however, seemed completely out of place and therefore as the essential lead, let down the rest of the film somewhat. In fact the whole things seemed very dated and I was surprised to see it was made in 2001 as there is a stilted 90s feel to it.
Saying that it was interesting and fun enough, but it wasn’t until the ending that my feelings took a major turn for the worse. It was simply the most ridiculous ending I’ve ever seen. Completely out of sync with the rest of the film - in plot and in general tone. It’s certainly not worth your time - stick to the original!

Score: 4.5/10
