My Plot Synopsis: On April 15th 1912 the Titanic sank after hitting an iceberg in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
84 years later, aged 100, Rose tells her story to Brock Lovett and his team who are searching for the ‘Heart of the Ocean’ necklace which they believe can be found in Titanic’s wreck.
On board the Titanic were thousands of people including Rose DeWitt Bukater and her fiancĂ© Caledon 'Cal' Hockley, upper-class passengers who step aboard on the first and last voyage of the ‘unsinkable’ ship. Also onboard is Jack Dawson and his best friend who win their third-class tickets in a lucky game of poker minutes before Titanic sets sail. Feeling suffocated, Rose meets Jack at Titanic’s stern as she attempts to jump off. He manages to talk her down but when they’re found, Cal isn’t happy. Despite their different social classes Rose and Jack fall in love during those few fateful days on board, but when the ship is struck, everything changes and Rose must decide how she’ll spend the rest of her life, and who with, as well as trying to survive as the Titanic sinks.

My Review: Titanic is my favourite film and has been since I was about 9 years old - that’s half of my life! So it was no surprise that I choose to watch it on my birthday, it’s becoming quite the tradition actually. And every year I get something new from it and am just as excited as when I first saw it.
I can give Titanic nothing but high praise, so this isn’t really going to be a ‘review’ as such.
Titanic is an amazing film. If you’ve never seen it or have any negative preconceptions I urge you to give it ago. It is an epic film full of action, thrills, romance, comedy, emotion and disaster. It looks incredible - even the CGI still stand the test of time - and the acting truly excellent from every member of the cast, including the mighty Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio whoa re now two of the biggest movie stars on earth.
While watching you get swept away in a moving story that will not only leave you in tears but prompt you to reflect on life, love and humanity.

Score: 10/10
P.S I cannot wait to see this in 3D next year!!
