On TV: Sunday 24th April 2011
Channel: BBC Two 9-10.30pm
Episode Type: One-off drama

In 1 Sentence: Harrowing, beautiful drama showcasing the best of British acting talent.
BBC Summary: Drama based on the true story of Manchester United's legendary Busby Babes, the youngest side ever to win the Football League, and the 1958 Munich air crash that claimed eight of their number. The film draws on first-hand interviews with the survivors and their families to tell the inspirational story of a team and community overcoming terrible tragedy.

My Review: United is what British drama is all about.
David Tennant and Jack O’Connell play Jimmy Murphy and Bobby Charlton and both displayed some of the finest acting I’ve ever seen. You’d have to have a heart of stone not to tear up when David broken down in tears.
Not only was the acting first class, but so was the cinematography. Every frame was stunning.
In short this is one of the best dramas shown so far this year and I’d be very surprised if if isn’t up for a BAFTA next year.
Go watch it now on iplayer while you still can!
Score: 8/10
