In 1 Sentence: Packed with action and romance this week - it looks set to be a dramatic finale...
BBC Summary: As 165 Eaton Place prepares for the Annual Servants' Ball, Mr Pritchard enjoys a romance with fellow servant Miss Whisset, and starts to wonder if there is more to life than service. With war looming, Harry has a proposition for Beryl, however, a shock revelation threatens to thwart their plans. Meanwhile, as Lady Persie and Sir Hallam continue their dangerous affair, Sir Hallam is about to discover just how destructive his actions have been.
My Review: I didn’t realise how much I was enjoying this episode until the final scenes. It had been chock full of emotion and every scene was moving and exciting, moving forward the action - which hasn’t always happened this series. Downstairs the romance between Harry and Beryl gets more serious as war looms further, they plan to emigrate to America and Harry proposes! Love is well and truly in the air and the two finally have their happy ending... except things don’t go as smoothly as they’d hoped! Persie gets in the way as she does with another couple - Lord and Lady Hallam, her very own sister. The affair between Hallam and Persie gets serious this week and Hallam is, rightly, racked with guilt.
It’s all about the romance this week and it has kept me gripped. However, it looks like things will be falling apart next week in the final episode!
Score: 8.5/10
