IMDb Plot Synopsis: Michael and Jenna, having been a couple for three years, want to get married and start a family. These plans seem to be well on their way when Jenna announces that she's pregnant. But Michael is worried that his life and his youth will over for good. At a wedding of a friend, he meets a free-spirited college co-ed, Kim, who opens his eyes and leads him on a dangerous path away from Jenna. Meanwhile, none of the relationships of the people surrounding Michael and Jenna are happy and stable. Michael's friend Izzy is unwilling to let go of his childhood sweetheart Arianna; Kenny is a handsome stud who fears commitment to his latest conquest Danielle; and Chris is a co-worker who is dominated by his neurotic and overbearing wife over raising their newborn son. Even Jenna's parents, Stephen and Anna, are experiencing problems in their long-suffering marriage.

My Review: This was a beautiful, touching drama that, even weeks later has left an impression on me. While it’s listed as a comedy on Netflix - which by the way is an incredible site which you should check out (no sponsoring I just really love this site!) - it was much, much more of a drama.
It’s a character piece that looks not only at the lives of Michael and Jenna but at their friends and family; focusing on how complicated their relationships and situations are. It’s very moving and, yes, funny but it has a lovely interesting tone that was different to a usual drama or romance. It felt serious, thoughtful and insightful and the ending is evidence enough of its originality and fresh take on the genre.
The stars of this film are Zach Braff and Rachel Bilson who have excellent chemistry and go through some honest character journeys that were both realistic and poignant. The plot is full of depth and I can’t rate this highly enough!
Score: 8.5/10
