In 1 Sentence: Secrets are out this week in the one of the best episodes yet!
BBC Summary: Five-part drama by Kay Mellor, following five supermarket workers whose lives are turned upside down when they jointly win the lottery.
Ep4: Leanne's past catches up with her, and she is thrown into panic when Stacey goes missing. Feelings are riding high as Stuart tries to help, causing repercussions in his home life. Denise is starting to heal her wounds, helped by a budding romance.
Jamie uses his winnings to enter the adult dancing business, while Bob flies to South Africa to bet on a chance at prolonging his life. Leanne thinks she may have pieced together who robbed the shop and confides her suspicions in Stuart.
My Review: What a cracker last night’s episode was! Full of drama we finally find out Leanne’s past and boy, was I not expecting that! There was also quite a bit of romance between Leanne and Stuart which I’m 100% behind. Stuart’s fiancee Amy is just horrible and the Next Time trailer hints at something going on between her and Stuart’s nasty brother Jamie, so we shall see about that one! Stuart, bless him, is just a lovely guy trying to keep everyone happy and Matthew McNulty proving once again what a great actor he is. I don’t think I’m the only one looking forward to seeing Amy’s downfall - she’s been asking for it!
Full of twists and many beautiful moving moments, such as in the Hotel sitting room by the fire I have fallen head over heels for The Syndicate!
And I can’t believe that next week is the last episode already!?
Score: 9/10
