20. Robyn - Call Your Girlfriend

This song only really came to my attention after seeing Radio 1's Greg James' spoof video, (which is brilliant by the way!) but I'm glad it did as it is quite a catchy song.

This song will forever remind me of my brother as it is a song we both love and often sing along to in the car. There's something about this song that is special. I'm not just saying it is good. I'm saying that when this song comes on, whether it be at home, in the car or even in the middle of the street, somehow our eyes find each other and we share 'the look'. That look says "this song is so GOOD! we must sing and dance wildly to it right now".  And that is why it is special.

One Day: New UK Poster

I was very excited to receive my new Empire magazine yesterday, and to find on the back page a new One Day poster! I love this one so much more than the previous poster. 

(In case you can't make it out - the main picture is made up of polaroids all with a date, July 15, underneath and then each respective year beginning with 1988.)
I don't know why they hadn't released this one before: it's so blindingly obvious and ridiculously clever! It completely sums up the concept of seeing the characters for one day over twenty years. I'm a little worried that it goes up to 2011 and not 2007 like in the book, but we shall see why soon as the film is released late September - only 2 months away!

Doctor Who: NEW! Season 6 Episodes 8-13 Trailer, Promo Image and Episode details!

Well we're being properly spoiled today with not only a full-on incredible trailer for the second half of season 6 - which is to be aired here in the UK on the 27th August - but a new promo image has also been released featuring a wardrobe change for the Doctor!

Going for an Egyptian theme, River joins companions Amy and Rory near a pyramid alongside not only the Doctor sporting a new coat but the Silence and the Impossible Astronaut. This suggests that they will be prominent for the rest of the series.And taking a look at the newly released trailer last night the Silence aren't the only ones to be returning - the Cyberman and the Weeping Angels are also shown along with a heap of other new aliens too.
