I've been pretty excited about some new BBC dramas recently - especially as Autumn always brings us the best ones and, as it already feels like Autumn now the sun seems to have gone away already, it couldn't come any sooner. Asides from the big ones such as Doctor Who and Merlin this recently released trailer gives us some sneaky previews of what's to come. And it looks pretty darn good. And hopefully worth the wait...
In a similar vein, Shetland (starring Douglas Henshall) is a two-part scottish crime drama set on the Shetland Isles. After human remains are found and a tragic accident recorded, greed, envy and bitterness divide the community.
Good Cop also looks gripping with Aising Loftus who I loved in Dive and Warren Brown who takes the lead.
There's a lot of dark stuff coming and I for one cannot wait!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The BBC really is the best for quality drama. One of the ones I'm most intrigued about from the trailer is Hunted. Made by Kudos (which is always a good sign) and set to air in October, it stars Melissa George and Adam Rayner and is a spy drama where George takes the lead as an espionage operative for a private intelligence agency whose life is jeopardised by members of her own team. She doesn't know who to trust and realises it is connected to a horrific event in her childhood. It definitely sounds interesting!
