In 1 Sentence: The Apprentice: priceless hilariousness as always
BBC Summary: Sixteen hopefuls compete to win a £250,000 investment to start their own company, with Lord Sugar as their business partner.
Ep 1: Lord Sugar gives the teams £250 to invest in fresh fruit and vegetables.
My Review: The Apprentice is back with a corker of an episode as the boy’s team ‘Logic’ competes with the girl’s team ‘Venture’ to make as much money as possible selling fruit and veg in anyway they want. The boys plucked for soup and juice, which I thought to be a good idea... until I saw hopeless Project Manager Edward and then things didn’t look to good for them. Edward looked to be a Stuart Baggs The Brand wannabe as he delivered many brilliant lines such as “When I was producing that was production” and answering questions with random snippets of sentences like “It’s all there”, relived fantastically in The Apprentice: You're Fired after the show.
The girls, however, didn’t look good either as their vegetable pasta didn’t go down well, surely not helped in the spelling of their sign as ‘vegatable pasta’!
But, as ever, the girls pulled it out the bag - there seems to be a running theme here I think?!
Project Manager Melody seemed quite smug with her win which I found endlessly irritating. But aren’t they all?
That’s what’s so brilliant about the Apprentice watching so-called business people run around in suits trying to impress Lord Sugar - and doing a good job a messing it up while giving us some great one-liners on the way down.
Addictive viewing that is continued tonight on BBC One 9pm!
Score: 7.5/10
