Gosh, it's been a busy few days so not many quality posts but got some good stuff lined up so keep posted. For now a 50 Day Song Challenge will have to do as I'm up at 5 in the morning so have no time or energy to do a review. Enjoy...
I've loved this song for years as my mother (a piano teacher) loves playing it often in the evening. It's such an incredibly emotional and beautiful song. I hope one day to at least to attempt playing it and get it half right! Love, love, love...
This is truly one of my few goosebump-y songs. It was one of the first songs that I completely fell in love with and used to repeat the video endlessly for weeks until I finally got a hold of Air Traffic's album and fell in love again with such an amazing album! So I am incredibly happy to share todays #27...
I can't play much as after my piano grade 1 (and my mother being a music teacher) any skills I had fizzled out. Put if pressed I could stretch to today's song...
Clocks - Coldplay
A beautiful song, and thankfully reasonably simple to play!
Welcome to Part 2 of June 2011's Top 20, where I'll be counting down from 10 to 1. If you missed Part 1 then head on over there.
10. Chase & Status feat. Tinie Tempah - Hitz
I wasn't sure at first about Hitz. There didn't seem to be enough of Chase & Status and Tinie Tempah's style in the song. Instead it was a little american sounding (not helped of course by the video!). But it has definitely grown on me and Tinie Tempah's raps have already found there way into my head. He has a strange knack of doing that. Heading over shores
9. Jason Derulo - Don't Wanna Go Home
The sample used in this is what makes this song. As well as my soft spot for Mr Derulo. Ever since the fantastic Whatcha Say, I don't think he's made a song I don't like. Some major dance moves
Hello again and welcome to this month's Top 20 songs that I couldn't stop listening to in the month of June. Part 1 begins with numbers 20-11. Look out for Part 2 to find out who made number 1!
20. Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)
With a video featuring Rebecca Black, Kenny G, two the Glee guys people and not forgetting Perry's new alter-ego geeky 8th grader Kathy Beth Terry, this song was always gonna get people talking. It has me chanting T.G.I.F. already.... The party of the year! By far.
19. Kaiser Chiefs - Little Shocks
To tell you the truth I really didn't like this at first. Somehow though it has grown on me. It's annoyingly catchy. That damn Ricky Wilson. And indeed Radio 1 for playing it so incessantly. Lights or no lights that is the question
