IMDb Plot Synopsis: A car accident puts Paige in a coma, and when she wakes up with severe memory loss, her husband Leo works to win her heart again.
My Review: Rachel McAdams sparkled in the Time Traveller’s Wife and with a similar vibe, she does so again in The Vow. This could easily be a cheesy Hollywood tragic movie stuffed full of cliches and while it was quite predictable it was fun throughout.
Channing Tatum is as gorgeous as ever and he plays the adoring outside husband well and the chemistry is definitely there. It’s hard not to fall in love with the two of them as we jump back and forth from when they first meet each other, their wedding day and the fateful day of the accident. It’s all rather unrealistic of course, but the tragedy element only serves to heighten the romance.
All in all The Vow is a beautifully shot romance with two great leads and a story that will melt your heart...
Score: 8/10
