Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants

UK Release: 26th August 2005
Watched on DVD: Wednesday 2nd May 2012
Rating: PG
Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Drama
Runtime: 1hr 59mins
Tagline: Laugh. Cry. Share the pants.
IMDb Plot Synopsis: As four best friends spend their first summer apart from one another, they share a magical pair of jeans. Despite being of various shapes and sizes, each one of them fits perfectly into the pants. To keep in touch they pass these pants to each other as well as the adventures they are going through while apart.

A Quick Review: This film was surprisingly warm hearted, however it was also really rather cheesy.
It was funny to see Blake Lively and America Ferrera before they became leads in Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty. Blake was as sparkly as ever and the chemistry between the girls was sweet enough. It was all very cliche but I suppose it’s a cliche for a reason because it works.
All four girls are going through something different over the summer - ‘finding’ themselves is an understatement - and while it’s predictable it was a sweet tween film that was fun to rediscover.
Score: 6.5/10
