In 1 Sentence: My favourite episode yet! This is Hustle as it should be.
BBC Summary: The gang are on a high after finishing a successful con on a night club owner but their celebration seems premature when, a short while later, corrupt policeman DI Fisk meets with one of his underworld contacts who has a task for him - get Mickey Stone.
My Review: This episode was so clever! At least after the last couple of weeks it seemed to be so. Perhaps it was in comparison to the dire lot the first episode was, but Episode 3 was definitely my favourite so far and felt much more ‘Hustle-ly’ with the big twist and reveal at the end.
The inclusion of the police, which they touched on a little last series, made it feel an inch more realistic and provided a more interesting ‘villain’ for the show and upped the stakes even higher. I also loved introducing a new member to the crew - even if it was just for one episode - as it changed up the dynamic a little bit.
Overall, it was a brilliant, clever and entertaining piece of television: if only Hustle were like this every week!
