Tagline: Popularity is nice. Popular girls are not.
IMDb Plot Synopsis: A nerdy valedictorian proclaims his love for the hottest and most popular girl in school - Beth Cooper - during his graduation speech. Much to his surprise, Beth shows up at his door that very night and decides to show him the best night of his life.
My Review: My ‘so bad it’s good’ theory may have worked for American Pie but unfortunately it failed to apply for this movie. This was just plain bad.
It’s a shame as the concept had whispers of potential and the first 20 minutes were amusing enough but it went down hill very fast and the ending was just dire.
I was disappointed as I’d always liked Hayden Panettiere in Heroes but she did show any signs of depth outside the popular blonde girl image. Jack Carpenter was the only thing about this film that made it watchable. Otherwise it was just all a little too cringeworthy, with virtually no humour whatsoever.
Score: 5/10
